My Creative Space

... last weekend's screen printing session. I've got lots of ideas but no where to print them!

My prints from last week's screenprinting course

It seems that we're going through another rough patch, my dad is ill in hospital at home and it's the worst thing in the world, not being there. I feel like crying all the time so I am constantly knitting, sewing or crocheting to distract myself until we find out what's going on.

So far I have made a dog softie for my dad, a Burda top, a neckwarmer, and working on another quilt.
Keeping the mind distracted is a good thing. The RSI I am developing is not so good. I am trying to knit using my left hand and wrist for moving the yarn across - any tips for RSI-free knitting always welcome!

As always more spaces here

So sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he's on the mend soon. It's a terrible thing. My father's not been well of late either, though not in hospital, he's battling demons - and has lost an ear to cancer. Second time the big C has been through. He's also had breast cancer. He's doing OK though. Could have been worse.

Love the prints. I did a screen printing class recently and I've also run out of things to print on...if you sit down too long at my house you run the risk of being my next target!

keeping busy with your crafts is always a great distraction, but that pesky rsi can really set you back. having regular breaks works for me and alternate yor crafts..hope that helps :)

btw your print design is gorgeous!

Beautiful prints. Love the colours and texture of them. So sorry to hear that your Dad is so unwell. Crafting for distraction is something I do too. Knitting is so soothing. If you aren't already, use wooden or bamboo needles. I get RSI too and those help dramatically.
